Bio

Kevin Myers was born and raised in Southern Texas. It was South Texas culture and experiences that would later provide the feel, stories, and direction of his songwriting. Not until a migration north to San Marcos, TX and exposure to the thick musical culture of Central Texas at the turn of the century would those songs begin to form. Access to local musicians and their influences led to the discovery of the true, complete songwriters of this world: Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, etc. Years of trying to match their creations, with elements of literary story telling mixed with addictive melody, led to the development of Myers’ lyrical based Americana style he boasts today.

Given the opportunity to record with Texas guitar legend, sound engineer, and producer Rich Brotherton, Kevin’s first full-length studio album, “Horseshoe”, emerged. Myers now resides in Dripping Springs, TX with his wife Kasey and their two wiener dogs.
